Okay so this post is a little late but here she is...our little ladybug. I think Audrey enjoyed her 1st Halloween and even indulged us for several photo ops. Mama Sue and Grandpa were here for the weekend and helped us hand out candy. Our life as a family of four featuring our sweet girls Audrey Christine and Madeleine Elise.

As promised
Here are more pictures of Audrey's busy weekend. We went to the doctor today for her 6 month check up. She is still in the 75-90% in weight & height at 17 lb 15 oz & 26 3/4 inches. She had a total of 3 shots today and was a trooper!

Pumpkin patch
Audrey turned 6 months old today! I cannot believe it. I went through her closet today and I must admit I got a little teary-eyed packing away all the adorable outfits that no longer fit her. It is had to believe our little sweet pea has been here for 6 months already.
Anyway, we had an eventful weekend. Yesterday we took Audrey to the pumpkin patch for the first time. She was a little unsure of all the activity and really didn't want to smile for the pictures. (By the way, my friend Kirsi Ingram took the pics and she also took Audrey's 3 month pics- she is fabulous. If you need a photographer let me know and I can get you her contact info.)
After the pumpkin patch we meet our friend's Michael, Catherine and their 9 month old daughter Elise for dinner. The girls were troopers even though we were out past their bed times.
Finally, Audrey had her first taste of solid food today. We tried rice cereal and she loved it. She was so cute- she kept leaning towards me and the spoon as if she were saying "More Mom, come on!" We will post pics of Audrey eating soon!

Boomer Sooner
Okay, so the Sooner's didn't have their best game last Saturday but that did not stop our little cheerleader from showing her team spirit!

Oklahoma
We spent the 1st weekend of October in Oklahoma visiting family and had a great trip. This was Audrey's 2nd trip to the Sooner state and I think she enjoyed it:)

Great Grandpa Shoemake & Audrey. She repeatedly tried to suck on his thumbs.

Audrey can now push up on all fours. We are still working on moving forward, at this point she likes to scoot backwards.
5 month update
Okay, so it has been way too long since I have updated...but life goes on and here are pictures from our little sweet pea's 5th month. Yes- she will be 6 months on Sunday!
She loves to take naps on Daddy's chest & occasionally suck her thumb too.
Audrey and her buddy Taryn at Taryn's 1st birthday party. I think she was eyeing the cake.
We are starting rice cereal next week and thought we would test out Audrey's high chair. I think she likes it.

We're back!
I must begin by apologizing for the long absence in updates. School started several weeks ago and boy has it been an adjustment. There just aren't enough hours in the day. But enough of that...Audrey will be 5 months in a week and so much has happened.
She made her first trip to Houston for Labor Day to visit Grandpa & Grandma Wilbourn. (pictures will be posted soon) She went swimming and had so much fun! She and Shelby definitely love the water. Last weekend Grandma and Grandpa came here to babysit Audrey while Cory and I went to my high school reunion. While they were here we celebrated Grandpa's upcoming birthday and Audrey helped him blow out the candles. Finally, our little sweet pea has discovered her feet. She loves to hold them and attempts to put them in her mouth, although she still prefer her fingers and now her thumb! Audrey is growing up so fast. She loves to sit up in our laps or in her bobby pillow. We've tried to sit her up on her own and she lasts a few seconds and then nose dives toward the ground. She is so much fun right now!
"Mmmmmm...toes!"
She was mesmerized by the flash on the camera.
This will not become a habit...no braces, no braces, no braces.

Audrey really wanted to help Grandpa blow out his candles!
