Summer Shots Part 3

We spent the 4th of July in New Jersey with Mama Sue's side of the family. Cory, Audrey and I flew out there together and aside from an hour & 1/2 delay on the tarmac and then 40 minutes circling Newark it was a pretty painless flight. The beach house was packed with 19 people over 4th of July weekend. Audrey got to hang out with Great Grandpa, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and more. Cory had to go home after a long weekend while Audrey and I enjoyed the sun and sand for 2 weeks. The weather was AMAZING but we missed Cory so much.

This is one of my favorite picks from the trip. Audrey loved playing in the sand and putting her toes in the water.

She would make her Great Grandma proud- a true golfer. Audrey carried these clubs around with her the entire trip. Future female Tiger Woods???

Mom ad Audrey hanging out on the back porch after a day at the beach.

Audrey LOVES watermelon. Honestly, she ate 2 whole pieces and then some.

Uncle Mikey and Mallory met us at the beach after their 6 week trip exploring Europe. Audrey LOVES Mallory- she's still not sure what to make of Mike.

Audrey had her 1st taste of pizza & what a place to start! We went to The Sawmill on the boardwalk where the pizzas are 27 inches, her slice was almost as tall as she is.

Audrey with her 2nd cousins Hunter and Christina. She had so much fun playing with them & they were so helpful.

Christina and Audrey in their matching 4th of July dresses. Aren't they adorable????

Summer Shots Part 2

Audrey got to meet her Uncle Logan and Aunt Christina (who live in Florida) while we were in Oklahoma. We had a great weekend visiting with everyone.

Summer Shots

So, once again I am failing at updating Audrey's blog. Honestly, I thought since it is summer I would be posting pictures and updates every few days but obviously that hasn't happened. I'm having too much fun with our little sweet pea and loving spending every day with her. So in the last month we have spent a few days in Houston, made a day trip to Galveston, spent in a weekend in Oklahoma and 2 weeks at the beach in New Jersey. There will most likely be more then one post for all the pictures- enjoy!

Bubble time at the park!

"Boo!" Who knew you could have so much fun in a laundry basket?

We return at last

Audrey in her cool new shades to go along with all her bathing suits!

Audrey and Elise playing with the Jack in the Box at the birthday party.

Audrey took a few days to warm up to her Uncle Mikey. He and Tim both flew down for her party.

Family picture while opening Audrey's presents. Notice the full length splint & sling I'm sporting. The birthday party was the day after the car accident.

So it's been a while. A LONG while since our last update. To say that the last 2 months have been chaotic is an understatement. Here are the highlights:
* Kerri was in a car wreck (we LOVE 16 yr old drivers~they're awesome)
* Kerri's right wrist was broken and she wore a cast for 6 weeks. She is right handed. (cast + baby=difficulty)
* Kerri had a rental car for a month
* Cory started a new job with a firm....in Dallas. (1 hour commute)
*School is now out for the summer-Yea!!!!!
* We have been house hunting
* Our house in now on the market

So on to our little sweet pea. Audrey had a fabulous 1st birthday and we had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. We could not have made it through that crazy time without every ones help and support. Audrey was also baptized that weekend while everyone was here. Fast forward two months and Audrey is now walking, loves to play tug of war with the Shelby (our chocolate lab), carries her doll with her all around the house, and babbles at us all the time. Audrey, Shelby and I went to Houston for a few days last week and hung out in the pool with Mama Sue & Grandpa. Summer's in Texas are somewhat tolerable when there is a pool nearby. Audrey and I also made a trip to Galveston Island and spent the day at the beach with Marcie & Scott Plumbtree and their families. It was so much fun! We will update again soon with more pictures from the last 2 months.

Picture Perfect

Two weeks ago my friend Kirsi took Audrey's 1st year photos & they are amazing!!!! We went to Grapevine Botanic Gardens and had a great time. Kirsi also did Audrey's 3 month photos and she is an incredibly talented photographer. You can see more of her work at
http://web.me.com/kirsilyn or email her at kirsiingramphotography@yahoo.com.

Now that the helmet is gone, Audrey can wear cute bows!

"How did this happen?"

This bear played music too- I'm not sure Audrey knew what make of it.

I love this tutu- It says "Happy Birthday" and was filled with confetti.

She had so much fun playing in the fountain.

Isn't this the greatest Father's Day gift?

This and That

Audrey and I both got sick over Spring Break so I did not post an update about it. I loved every minutes of being home with our baby girl. Audrey and I went to the zoo along with my friend Jane and her two boys. It was 1/2 price day and crazy busy, however Audrey was more interested in watching all of the other children. I tried to point out animals a few times but she didn't seem to notice. So we will go again as she gets bigger and hopefully Cory can make the next trip.
The weekend before I went back to work we made a day trip to Lindsay, OK to see Audrey's birthday buddy- her great grandpa E.L. The Shoemake boys were all helping out with the yard and garden while Audrey spent some quality bonding time inside with E.L.

Audrey loves to pull everything off of her window seat.

Great Grandpa E.L. & Audrey- notice she is checking out his magazine. She LOVES paper.

Adios Helmet!

The day has finally arrived. Today was the last day that Audrey had to wear her helmet. For the last 5 months she has worn it for 23 hours a day- with some prolonged helmet-less activities here and there. The flat spot on Audrey's head is not longer noticeable and her doctor was very pleased with the results. She has a beautiful, round head. Now we just need to work on some hair...

A rear shot of Audrey's helmet :-)

"Mom! Stop taking pictures of my head!!!!"- This afternoon after the Dr. appointment

t
We were considering ASL with Audrey, however she thought gang signs were a better use of her time.
